The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a self-motived Systems Engineer to support the Spectrum Superiority sector on the US Space Force Remote Modular Terminal (RMT) program in Sterling, VA. The RMT is an Electronic Warfare (EW) system that provides low cost, flexible, ground-based Space Electronic Warfare (SEW) capabilities. The RMT program is fulfilling an expedited development and rapid production and deployment of first-of-its-kind critical space capabilities to protect space assets and defend joint forces from space-enabled attack for the United States Space Force.
Responsibilities:
You will be a part of the Systems Engineering team responsible for the RMT SATCOM terminal design, development, deployment and operations lifecycle. You will work with the end user and the field support team to integrate feedback for improvements and enhancements to the fielded units and evolving their designs. You will work with the test team to ensure verification and validation of software and hardware requirements against prototype and production artifacts. You will be responsible for developing contents to Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables and maintaining them. Responsible for the decomposition of top-level system customer needs to lower-level technical requirements and work closely with development teams to build, integrate, and test the system
The ideal candidate will bring experience with SATCOM systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelors Degree or 4+ years of related experience in lieu of
3+ years of System Engineering experience
Must have experience with all stages of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC): Concept of Operations (CONOPS), requirements development, design, verification and validation testing, quality assurance, system integration, and operations support; including the development of requirements directly with stakeholders, as well as the development and execution of test plans/procedures
Experience with architecture diagrams, data flow diagrams, and interface control documents for hardware and software systems
Experience with managing and documenting system configurations (cable and assembly documentation)
Experience performing trade studies on new technologies and developing white papers to present findings to the Systems Engineering team
Experience using Atlassian JIRA/Confluence work management tools to capture, prioritize, and track bugs and feature enhancement requests in an Agile workflow paradigm within two-week sprints managed via daily scrums
Understanding of software containers, such as docker, and ability to analyze API and event logs via Linux environment tools to debug test results
Familiarity with radio frequency (RF) systems and test equipment (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generator, multimeter etc.)
Experience with computer networking infrastructure products such as servers, switches, firewalls, and routers
Must know the basic commands and navigation of the Linux operating system.
Able to obtain TS/SCI security clearance
Desired:
General understanding of SATCOM bands S/C/L/X/Ku/Ka
Technical understanding of hardware (Electrical Engineering) and able to configure a variety of hardware components.
Kubernetes command and control
Shell scripting
Comfortable working in a CUI network environment, classified network environments
Nightstalker (CACI) software container testing
Security+ Root cause analysis of discovered issues
Experience developing UML/SysML models with MBSE tools such as a Cameo Systems Modeler

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$72,200 - $147,900
