Your role at Clorox:
This dynamic and challenging role will manage assigned indirect customers within Wholesale network to deliver volume and AMPS / AAA results for all assigned Clorox Customers & Categories.
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading assigned indirect customers within Wholesale network using Broker organization to deliver volume and AMPS across all Clorox categories and businesses. This position will help cultivate and build the GM demeanor required to grow successfully at Clorox. Superb opportunity for growth and development in a very fast-paced, ambitious environment.
This position can be located in one of our offices in Oakland or Pleasanton, CA, Durham, NC, Alpharetta, GA, Willowbrook, IL or Mason, OH and the individual will be expected to be in the office 3 days a week.
In this role, you will:
Engage our People as Business Owners : Trains, educates and develops Broker partners (Business Account Managers, Customer Business Mangers, other support). Develop individual capabilities to promote growth in support of team strategy. Take guidance and coaching direction from Customer Team Lead and Team Lead.
Drive the Business : Effectively manages Broker organization to deliver volume, net sales, AMPS/AAA and profit results for assigned customers. Delivers results with consistent Category strategies and trade spending guidelines. Responsible for Broker understanding and execution of Clorox/Category strategies/initiatives at assigned customers. Develops strong collaborative relationships. Drives Retail execution. MBO approach as appropriate.
Customer and Category Planning : Leads Customer Business planning with Broker at both customer HQ and retail level. Leverages Category/Consumer understanding and Insights to drive Category strategies/initiatives.
Build Capability to Drive Growth and Eliminate Waste: Uses appropriate systems and tools, and proactively manages Trade Funds within guidelines. Ensures broker team has knowledge and tools to drive growth. Including access to all retail assets. Manages and develops Broker/Distributor relationships. Facilitates connection between broker/distributor teams, cross-functional resources and category counterparts. Drives and reports all activities.
What we look for:
Requires 3-7+ years experience, CPG industry is strongly desired
Broker/Distributor sales management experience
Field/Customer/Store level or equivalent experience
Thorough knowledge of Clorox business priorities and individual customer plans
Enabler of sustainable business plans
Working knowledge of local customer and Clorox go-to-market strategy
Expert problem-solver
Effective communicator, both written and verbal
BS/BA Degree or equivalent experience

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
–Zone A: $86,600 - $161,900
–Zone B: $79,400 - $148,400
–Zone C: $72,100 - $134,900

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
