Job Title: HVAC Technician
Job Description
HVAC technicians maintain HVAC systems. Technicians will be responsible for diagnosing maintenance risks on equipment they are installing or maintaining. The majority of work will be done in commercial and industrial settings. They will work on troubleshooting compressors, blowers, motors, chillers, refrigeration components.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance risks on HVAC equipment.
Install and maintain HVAC systems in commercial and industrial settings.
Troubleshoot compressors, blowers, motors, chillers, and refrigeration components.
Troubleshoot ducts, minisplit systems, and Bard units.
Ride along with current HVAC technician for extended training.
Travel to leased units in the field to provide service and repairs.
Essential Skills
EPA Universal 608 certification
Valid NYS Driver's License
Experience troubleshooting heating and cooling systems
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with refrigeration systems
Knowledge of Bard units
Understanding of split systems, cooling, heating, boilers, chillers, and furnaces

Work Environment
Position duties will be split between field and yard. You will ride along with the current HVAC technician to service, troubleshoot, and fix leased units between Rochester and Syracuse. You will be paid for all drive time from when you leave to when you return to the shop. Report to the shop each day for work. Hours are from 7 AM and can extend until 5-6 PM if work orders run long. If you are in the shop, the day wraps up at 3 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Syracuse, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
