At Tjader & Highstrom Utility Services, LLC, as a Fiber Splicing Supervisor, you oversee the fusion of optical fibers to sustain and enhance our telecommunication networks. Your expertise in fiber splicing is crucial for maintaining robust and reliable connections, ensuring seamless data transmission across our expanding network. You'll serve as the on-site expert, offering guidance and support to less experienced team members.
We are currently offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus for all new, full time employees ($500 after 3 months, $500 after 6 months)

What you’ll do as a Fiber Splicing Supervisor
Supervise, develop, and provide leadership to employees of assigned departments or projects.
Oversee all onsite and offsite fiber construction to monitor compliance and safety regulations
Accurately forecast resource requirements based on completion deadlines
Ensure quality construction standards while using proper construction techniques
Communicate effectively with customers to inform of project progress, issues and projected completion dates.
Review tasks and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Develop a strong working relationship with managers to maximize new opportunities for revenue
Conduct pre-construction meetings
Additional Duties as assigned.
What you’ll need
To be 18 years of age or older
Authorization to work in the United States for this company
High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
Valid State driver's license (cannot be considered Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
At least 4 years of experience splicing, placing, and testing fiber strands
Additional qualifications
Knowledge of telecommunications network structure
Knowledge in testing and equipment
Ability to read and interpret schematics and job prints
At least 1 year of foreman or supervisory experience
Physical abilities & exposures
Routinely: operate vehicle and heavy machinery, squeeze, fine hand motion, work alone in remote locations with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift greater than 55 pounds
Occasionally : work in confined spaces, use ladder and gaffs for climbing poles, keyboard and mouse
