Job Description

An employer is looking for a highly skilled Azure Data Engineer to join one of our largest national healthcare clients for a contract opportunity. This team prefers candidates who are local to the Twin Cities area, as most of the team goes into the office a few times a week, however for remote candidates you must be able to accommodate a CST time zone as this team also partners with an offshore team in India. In this role you'll be joining a growing immediate team of 7, mainly comprised of software engineers, accountants and business analysts. This team is working to build a one source of truth financial platform where all data from various acquisitions can be readily available and usable. They have several roles available currently -- a Lead Infrastructure Engineer and an Azure Data Engineer. As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer you'll be heading up the development of their cloud container / environment dedicated to this client's accounting department. The main data you'll be working with is regarding health insurance member data.

Their second opening is an Azure Data Engineer. In this role you'll be the boots on the ground doing hands on development from scratch of their cloud container / environment dedicated to this client's accounting department. You will also be doing maintenance work after this platform is built, therefore you must have experience developing from scratch and maintaining this platform once it's built. In order to be successful on this team you must have hands on experience working with Azure, you must have experience in scripting languages such as Python, and feel comfortable working hands on with Github, Terraform and Azure Databricks. Any experience with Docker or Apache Airflow is a plus but not necessary. This role is budgeted as a contract position but could have the possibility to convert to a full time role based on budget and performance.

Skills and Requirements

• Hands on experience working with Azure -- both from scratch development and maintenance experience

• Terraform -- specifically experience using commands

• Github -- specific experience with Github actions

• Scripting Experience (e.g. Python, C#, Scala, Java, prefer Python)

• Everything as code mentality -Experience working with Docker/Kubernetes (Build and deploy applications across tenants and environments)

-Experience working with Apache Airflow null
