Position in this function is responsible for analyzing, managing, and optimizing business systems related to inventory control, item management, and Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) rostering processes. This role collaborates with key stakeholders to understand business requirements, define system enhancements, and ensure the accurate integration of systems to support efficient item management and GPO rostering operations. Additional collaboration with cross functional teams to streamline processes, identify areas of improvement, and ensure smooth data flows between various business systems. Provide appropriate education to Care Delivery Organizations, and work with necessary internal Procure to Pay teams to ensure correct pricing and contract adherence.

Primary Responsibilities:
Support Care Delivery Organization Membership Rostering activities in partnership with GPO to ensure accurate pricing and to maximize purchasing power
Management of data cleansing, high volume upload files, item maintenance, price accuracy, and EDI transaction
Liaison between 3rd party procurement services teams including Group Purchasing Organization services, offshore support teams, procure to pay (P2P) technology partner, and strategic suppliers
Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement based on industry trends and professional business knowledge
Improve training and operational procedures within a business to increase efficiency and productivity
Work directly with clients to understand the individual needs of the business
Create and present reports to leaders and stakeholders
Use a variety of data analysis and organization tools to discover the most impactful insights
Full accountability for OptumCare Procurement Services and customer experience including achieving performance across key performance indicators including customer satisfaction rating, turn-around time, data accuracy and other measures
Vendor, contract, and location master management for all enterprise and local supplier relationships
Document business processes, system configurations, and workflows

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in procurement services or BSA related role
3+ years of project/change management experience
Experience with item management systems, Group Purchasing Organization (GPO), rostering, or similar inventory and procurement processes
Recognized as a highly credible Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding procurement services and key aspects of procurement solutions (procure to pay, EDI, item/vendor/contract master management, catalog management, and customer support)
Solid Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools such as MS Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Proven ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects
Proven competent in developing and delivering innovative solutions to diverse and complex problems
Proven ability to facilitate/translate strategic business requirements into strategic solutions
Demonstrated ability to get business results in a highly matrixed organization
Proven track record of success bridging local and enterprise needs
Proven solid interpersonal skills and ability to build long-term relationships
Proven excellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills
Proven flexibility with shifting organizational priorities
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience using Procure to Pay application such as Premier connect, Coupa, and etc.
Experience in ERP Systems such as PeopleSoft
Experience in healthcare supply chain
Proficiency with Tableau and/or Power BI
Proven ability to improve training and operational procedures within a business to increase efficiency and productivity

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
