Summary THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is part of the IN JFHQ CAJMTC MCCO, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number D1269000. Responsibilities Administers, coordinates, and verifies design work performed by Architect/Engineer firms often exceeding one million dollars and one year in duration per project. Requests construction funding. Manages bidding process, in coordination with the Contracting Officer, and recommends award of construction contracts. Serves as the senior technical employee overseeing one or more employees performing technical work within the Design and Project Management Branch. Provides guidance on the development of building environmental, energy, security, and communication systems both for programmed new construction and for retrofit of existing buildings. Provides guidance and input to the Improvement Program for ARNG readiness centers. Coordinates with military, federal, state and local government agencies on matters concerning fire prevention, protection and suppression. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications MILITARY GRADES: E7 through E9, or O1 through O3, WO1 through CW5. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: 12 SERIES The policy to have a compatible MOS/AFSC has been suspended. When reinstated, you will have one year to meet the qualifications of this position or meet the requirements in the guidance set by NGB. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a knowledge of equipment maintenance work, or skill in reading engineering drawings and specifications, using test instruments, making computations, and keeping records. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year equivalent to at least next lower grade level experience, education or training which demonstrates the knowledge of, and skill in applying, a comprehensive range of principles, concepts, and practices concerning equipment, facility, or service operations with complicated technical requirements that have no clear precedent or plan. Experience overseeing and implementing a program involving the identification and resolution of difficult issues or problems. Experience preparing budgets based on plans for maintenance, repair work, new construction alteration projects, replacement of existing equipment, or increase in services and processes to ensure program effectiveness. Education You may combine education with specialized experience to meet the length of experience requirement for GS-11. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. To receive credit for Education, you must provide transcripts or documentation of proof that you meet the Education requirements for this position.
