Job Title: Quality Control Inspector
Job Description
Looking for a motivated individual with experience in structural steel fabrication. We are looking for someone who is organized, has excellent time management skills, strong attention to detail, and has a desire to learn and grow with an organization.
Responsibilities
Work under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Manager.
Perform fit-up/dimensional inspections to verify compliance to shop drawings.
Monitor welding operations for compliance with codes and company welding procedures.
Perform 100% visual weld inspection for weld quality, size, and location.
Monitor surface preparation and coating application. Perform paint inspections to verify quality and dry film thickness.
Accurately document all performed inspections.
Communicate with shop supervision on any noncompliant items found.
Essential Skills
Experience in structural steel fabrication.
Quality inspection and visual inspection skills.
Proficiency in quality control and assurance procedures.
Ability to read and interpret structural steel blueprints.
Proficiency with basic hand tools and measuring equipment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Basic computer skills.
Experience in structural welding.

Work Environment
Work inside and outside of a large structural steel production facility in El Mirage, AZ. The facility is indoors, somewhat climate-controlled with swamp coolers and fans, organized, and continuously adding new lines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of El Mirage, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
