Skookum is seeking a positive and consistent Part Time Janitor with a helpful attitude. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Restroom Cleaning - Sanitize and clean all the toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, etc. Restock supplies, collect trash, replace liners, sweep, and mop floors as well as following cross contamination procedures. Office Cleaning - Sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule. Spot entry doors. Cleaning halls and high traffic areas - Sweep, mop, and vacuum according to schedule. Trash - Collect trash in all appropriate areas. Restocking supplies daily. Dusting - Dust in lunch/coffee areas, restrooms, locker areas, and dust free areas only. Cleaning Stairwells - Sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe handrails according to schedule. Maintaining Lockers - Clean and organize. Communicating with customers - Always be courteous and communicate in a professional manner when talking with customers. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Maintain professionalism in both appearance and demeanor. Qualifications: Six (6) months experience in a custodial capacity is preferred. Working knowledge of work areas at the Department of Interior, Bureau of Reclamation is preferred. Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties. Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required. Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time. Requirements: Valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum's insurance. Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
