Position Summary
The Senior Manager of Net Power Reporting & Metrics manages ESM’s Net Power Reporting & Metrics business function at Grant PUD. The Senior Manager of Net Power Reporting & Metrics is responsible for delivering GCPUD’s net power financial performance reporting, including: (1) Compiling, monitoring, and reporting of actual net power results; (2) Coordination and collaboration with operations (power production and power delivery), Wholesale Marketing, and Finance for reporting, planning, forecasting, and budgeting of net power costs and revenues; (3) Identify, set, develop, and mature financial metrics for net power and margining for the power commodity business lines (production, transmission, and retail); and, (4) Manages ESM’s data management/ governance function in coordination with Enterprise Technology business function.
Job Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Directs, oversees and provides leadership for ESM’s Net Power Reporting function, including: Partnering, coordinating, and supporting ESM’s Business Intelligence & Market Analytics function, Strategic Management function, the CCO’s Wholesale Marketing function, the COO’s Power Production and Power Delivery operations functions, the CFO’s Financial Forecasting & Planning and Accounting, and other enterprise work efforts directly related to Pillar 4, Intentional Power Demand ; Policy & Procedure development; and operational execution of ESM’s Strategic Management function’s business plan.
Directs, oversees and provides leadership for compiling, monitoring, and reporting of actual net power results, including: Managing the operational accounting for the power commodity (the linkage between Operations and Finance); Reporting net power financial and operational performance related to budget and other reporting/ forecasting needs (quarterly, monthly, or otherwise); Coordination and collaboration with IPD’s Strategic Management function for forecasting the power portfolio financial performance for the annual net power budget (both cost and revenue); and, Develop and manage a net power reporting schema that can be expanded and matured through time for greater levels of detail and granularity.
Directs, oversees and provides leadership for the coordination and collaboration with operations (power production and power delivery), Wholesale Marketing, and Finance for reporting, planning, forecasting, and budgeting of net power costs and revenues, including: Translating operational and commercial capabilities and constraints into measures of financial performance and analytics; and, Develop and manage the communication of financial metrics and analytics to Executive leadership and responsible business functions.
Directs and oversees the identification, setting, developing, and maturing financial metrics for net power and margining for the power commodity business lines (production, transmission, and retail), including:
Directs and oversees ESM’s data management/ governance function in coordination with Enterprise Technology business function, including: Developing, managing, and road-mapping ESM’s data needs for monitoring and tracking of the power commodity from current state to mature state; Develop and manage ESM’s data glossary, data map, and the process/ procedure documentation.
Within Intentional Power Demand business function:
Partners, coordinates, and supports the Strategic Management function, including: Support for data needs (tracking and monitoring internal or external data); Providing research support for structuring, valuation, pricing, and decisioning on financial analysis or commercial opportunities.
Partners, coordinates, and supports the ESM Business Intelligence function, including: Support for data needs (tracking and monitoring internal or external data); Support for other as needed forecasting efforts.
Partners, coordinates, and supports the CCO’s Wholesale Marketing function, including: Support for data needs (tracking and monitoring internal or external data); Support for transaction analysis and valuation; and, Support for front-office operations (including hedging activities, balancing transactions, and monetization of environmental attributes).
Partners, coordinates, and supports the ESM leadership culture, including: Establish, develop, monitor, and re-asses ESM resource needs, hiring plans, and succession plans; Establish and develop an ESM knowledge base, both for general GCPUD consumption and as training, development, and learning pathways for ESM personnel; and, Establishment of ESM business metrics and performance targets.
Directs, oversees and provides leadership for employee and ESM leadership mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback, including: Recognizing excellence and growth opportunities; and, Manage discipline, rewards, delegation of employees, and limited tasking of personnel.
Partners, coordinates, and supports, large scale enterprise-wide planning work efforts by other functional organizations ensuring unity, excellence, and consistency across business and management activities.
Supports, oversees, and provides leadership for managing relationships with regulatory agencies, governments, local tribes, and customers, include: Maintain healthy collaborations and open communications; Representing the Utility to local, regional, and national meetings, hearings, and organizations to further the Utilities' goals and interests.
Partners (with Enterprise Technology), directs, oversees, and provides leadership for the ESM data and technology work efforts, including: Develop, establish, and implement the ESM Information-Data-Technology roadmap for data governance, analytic toolsets, and planning suite selection and implementation.

Education and Experience
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field OR two additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
10 years of financial reporting, financial management, or financial planning experience with increasing responsibilities
5 years of people leadership
Preferred
- Master's degree in business, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
License and Certifications
Required
- A valid State driver's license with no restrictions.
