WestRock Company Maintenance Coordinator in Etobicoke, Ontario
Job Opportunity: As a Maintenance Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing superior maintenance, clerical and administrative planning services to internal and external customers, with a focus on maintenance technical personnel assigned to operational areas within the manufacturing facility. As a Maintenance Coordinator you will manage the monthly maintenance budget, plan work orders or facility repairs, and perform plant and/or maintenance department day-to-day reviews to ensure that the facility is operating reliably and safely. You will also serve as a liaison between maintenance and production to effectively schedule and coordinate planned maintenance work.
How you will impact WestRock:
Develop work routines in a manner that assures personal safety and the safety of others
Develop hands-on knowledge and expertise of production equipment, parts, functions and processes through observation and engaging with employees on the production floor
Partner with Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Supervisors to review work requests and determine feasibility and safety controls for work to be performed
Communicate with production team and maintenance staff to resolve chronic and repeat failures with equipment, provide status updates on maintenance efforts, and gather feedback
Participate in production meetings with Maintenance Managers, Planners and Operations Managers to review upcoming work requests, weekly scheduling, and outage planning
Obtain certificates of insurance and document sign offs from outside contractors as required
Identify parts required for necessary maintenance efforts (preventive maintenance, breakdowns) and procure goods and services such as raw materials, parts, equipment, tools, and supplies
Prioritize work order requests to approve and reject, review complete work orders, and produce schedule for the next day/week
Monitor maintenance schedules to ensure there is no conflict with production schedules
Maintain information and records to prepare or edit purchase orders, filing posting information, and tracking spend
Manage, maintain and use computerized maintenance management system (JDE) work order system)
Enter work order data in support of maintenance activity
Backup for Maintenance Manager and Inventory Clerk as needed
Other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed:
High School diploma or Bachelor\u2019s degree preferred
Minimum of 4 years-experience in a manufacturing industry in both maintenance and operations, with experience in corrugated container preferred
Mechanical and electrical aptitude
Proven track record of analytical skills that drive decision-making
Strong organization skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer literacy skills
Demonstrated ability to adapt and take action in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
