The lead engineer will be part of the EBC materials and processing team whose mission is to advance state of the art EBC's and enable CMC technologies. The role will be responsible for executing on technology programs that contribute to the overall EBC strategy. In this role, you will partner with design and supply chain to develop EBC technology, performing tasks such as materials development, characterization, and ceramic processing.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Execute programs that contribute to EBC materials and processes technology maturation strategy for Aerospace products
Responsible for executing on strategic EBC roadmaps that support component durability, performance, and cost out
Contribute to planning and managing engineering budget and resources to execute on EBC projects
Partner with Design and Supply Chain to lead EBC technology maturation programs, support root cause investigations, and other process or material development to support current fielded products like LEAP and GE9X
Contribute to the development of next generation EBC materials and processes to support future commercial and/or military components
Support EBC production issues as needed
Support data analytics and modeling of manufacturing processes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
At least 4 additional years of experience in a program or project leadership role within an engineering environment
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Knowledge of EBC materials and processing
Knowledge of CMC materials and processing
