Job Summary
This position is responsible for directing and conducting routine nondestructive examinations of medical devices and related equipment as specified by priority or special request according to methods certified.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Set up and calibrate equipment
Conduct routine nondestructive examinations for medical devices and related equipment using various type of nondestructive testing processes Maintain records of all testing
Read and interpret indications, and evaluate them with reference to applicable codes and specifications
Organize and report NDT results
Exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training of less qualified personnel
Communicates with other cell members and engineers concerning product defects
Support other Visual and Dimensional Inspection activities as per the business needs.

Expected Areas of Competence
Thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the inspection method
Able to develop detailed inspection techniques on products and items within the limits of his qualifications
Must be able to read and understand blueprints
Must be able to communicate technical information, both verbal and written
Must have vision correctable to 20/20
Must be able to lift in the 50 pound range
Education/Experience Requirements
Must be a certified NDT I Inspector.
Must be certified for the specific type of inspection and for the products
Shift Expectations:
3rd Shift (11pm -7am EST)
Standard Monday - Friday
Salary Expectations:
$23-$29/hr
