Schedule
Monday to Friday 2nd shift start time between 12-3:30 pm. Daily or 6th Day overtime is required as needed and is mandatory. In the coming months we will be shifting to a 6 day operation which means your days off will consist of Sunday and another day during the week.
Job Summary
Provide leadership to employees during warehouse operations. This position is responsible for facilitating the daily operations by their respective assignments. The Team Lead will assist the employees to ensure they are fully resourced and adhere to processes necessary for completion of daily production requirements, compliance with all food safety requirements, and adherence to GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices). In this capacity, follows all procedures related to quality, efficiency and safety. Team projects or other assignments as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provides leadership to employees during day-to-day activities.
Ability to maneuver in varying environments, with most of the time being spent in the Dry Dock/Warehouse areas. Freezer temperatures can range from -10 to +15 degrees.
Assign jobs, positions, projects, and tasks to employees as necessary.
Address and resolve employee disputes and relations issues.
Prepare ERP Documents, pick orders, pre-check orders, wrap & stage orders for outbound shipments.
Maintain inventory accuracy of Quantities, Lot Numbers, and Expiration Dates. Conduct periodic cycle counts, record and update ERP. Report inventory discrepancies to Supply Chain Manager.
Efficiently and safely move product to the proper area for use following all department and QA procedures.
Perform periodic inventory cycle counts for all items stored in the dry dock areas, including raw materials, finished goods and packaging materials.
Communicate with Traffic and Logistics in order to ensure on time shipments to Primal Customers/Distribution Centers.
Inspect Power Industrial Truck (PIT) before usage
Train personnel on safety awareness, departmental policies, operation of relevant equipment, good manufacturing practices, warehouse standards, proper sanitation, correct documentation, and overall Company standard operating procedures.
Complete documentation thoroughly and accurately in accordance with company policies.
Initiate good housekeeping practices by implementing cleaning tasks throughout the work area, and organizing workspace.
Proactively address potential safety issues or problems.
Foster and facilitate a strong teamwork environment.
Responsible for safe operation of the equipment according to established standard operating procedures and safety policies.
Directs the proper break down and sanitizing of equipment as required.
Strong leadership skills, with an ability to build trust, provide direction, and vitality to execute with excellence and achieve extraordinary results. Develop employees to perform in a self-directed manner.
Ability to prioritize and follow-through to achieve results and meet deadlines to meet the needs of the business.
Complying with GMPs, HACCP and other Food Safety, quality and security guidelines and strictly adhering to all Primal Pet Foods specifications
Filling the demands of day-to-day operations by stepping in and filling in for different roles when needed and completing other tasks as assigned
Create a positive work environment and rewards superior performance. Reports and documents violations of policies.

Qualifications and Skills
2 years experience in a Material Handler/ Forklift driver capacity with increasing responsibilities in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Strong leadership skills, with an ability to build trust, provide direction, and vitality to execute with excellence and achieve extraordinary results.
Ability to prioritize and follow-through to achieve results and meet deadlines to meet the needs of the business.
Good communication skills, both oral and written and strong managerial skills including: good judgment, planning, organizing, innovative approach to problem solving, motivate employees.
Good ability to read, speak and communicate in English with employees, direct supervisors, team leads and upper management. Bilingual ability preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, you will be required to stand and walk; use hands to feel; and reach with arms. Occasionally required to sit and talk or hear. Required to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. Additionally, you must be able to lift and or move more than 50 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision. You will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
