Weiss Earley Landscape design & Contracting LLC Landscape Crew Member in Fairview, Pennsylvania
This is a temporary seasonal Foreign Labor Certification H-2B job posting
Job Information and Work Locations: WeissEarley Landscape Design & Contracting, LLC is looking to fill 5 temporary, full-time Landscape Crew Member positions from April 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025. Work will be performed at 7400 Market Road, Fairview, PA 16415 and at multiple worksites throughout Erie County, Pennsylvania.
Duties: Landscape and maintain grounds of property using landscaping equipment and materials, including backpack blowers, large containers of mulch and plant material and various sizes of walk-behind power equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, including mowing, weeding, trimming, planting, mulching, raking, clean-up and taking good care of our trucks and equipment. Follow all safety and PPE guidelines.
Requirements: No education or prior work experience is required. Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to walk up to five miles a day, sometimes on uneven terrain, and carry, push or pull landscaping equipment. Must be able to bend, kneel and squat for several hours per day.
Terms & Conditions of Employment: $17.20/hour, at least 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, schedule varies, typical work week is 50 hours, overtime is offered and paid at time and half or $25.80/hour.
Availability of On-the-Job Training: The employer will provide on-the-job training.
Transportation: During the first week of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Meals during transportation to and from the employer will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88/day during travel to a maximum of $59/day with receipts.
Three-fourths Guarantee: The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
Tools, Equipment, & Supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
Miscellaneous: The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Fridays via live check. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. Optional housing and daily transportation available, and, if selected, $100.00/week will be deducted from payroll. The employer will reimburse an H-2B worker in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees), incurred by the H-2B worker.
