Program Summary:
As a highly motivated undergraduate student, you will participate in a 10 to 12 week summer internship program at one of BASF’s North American sites.
Your ability to be mobile will be critical, as US locations include, but are not limited to: Michigan, North Carolina, Texas, Louisiana.
Successfully engaging across the business, you will be exposed to the leadership, technical, and scientific aspects of plant engineering, while also working in areas of safety and environment to uphold our high standards
Utilizing your experience in your area of study, you will help complete various Engineering projects which will provide the opportunity to further develop both technical and professional skills.
Upon completion of the internship program, you will have the opportunity to present your summer project to other interns, BASF employees, and senior leaders.

Formula for Success...
Process:
If selected for an interview, candidates will participate in a 45-minute interview with BASF representatives.
Requirements:
Undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Chemical Engineering
College Sophomores and Juniors (April 2026 -July 2027 grads)
Demonstrated academic achievement (Minimum GPA 3.2)
Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
Commitment to relocate anywhere in the U.S. during and upon place off from the program. Assignments are in-person/hybrid and can be in a different site such as Geismar, LA; Freeport, TX and Wyandotte, MI.
Demonstrated previous leadership experience & academic achievement
Active participation in extracurricular activities and on-campus organizations
Bilingual skills are a plus
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Outstanding work ethic and leadership potential
Previous internship/co-op experience is a plus

Pay Transparency:
BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $1,907 - $2,340 semi monthly. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
