We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our Safety Services program, where you will have a vital role in reducing the sense of abandonment children experience when placed into temporary foster care or other out-of-home placements. As the Family Support Worker, you will maintain family relationships by enhancing and supporting parenting skills. Family Support Workers also identify and resolve potential child safety concerns both before and after children return home. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FAMILY SUPPORT SPECIALIST: Evaluate youth and families for treatment needs and refer to appropriate resources. Analyze client situations, capabilities, and needs to determine services needed to address safety concerns. Implement, evaluate, and review safety assessments and plans. Intervene when necessary to prevent inappropriate behavior or to promote productive interactions during visitation. Provide designated parent curriculum in individual or group settings. Act as a resource to evaluate and determine necessary responses in de-escalating crisis situations with youth and families. LOCATION: Office is based in Fort Atkinson, WI. Local travel is required to complete client visits throughout Jefferson County, with mileage reimbursement. Position offers some flexibility to work remote when client visits are not scheduled. SCHEDULE: Hours of work are varied and flexible and may include evenings and/or weekends to accommodate clients\' needs. WHY WORK WITH PSG/CIP?
