Amentum Seasonal Laborer in Fort Carson, Colorado

Amentum, a global leader in critical mission support, engineering, technology, and national security solutions, is seeking a Seasonal Laborer at Fort Carson, Colorado. The hourly pay will be $18.06, plus an additional $5.36 in lieu of cash for Health and Welfare benefits.

JOB DESCRIPITON:

Cutting grass or weeds with a mower, riding or hand, trim hedges and edges around walks, flowerbeds, and wells, using hedge trimmers, weed eaters, clippers and edging tools; hand weed-pulling, raking, mulching landscapes. May drive ATV’s, Kubota’s, other small equipment, and tractors. On a continuous basis must be able to pull, push, lift or carry for 50 feet, sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and twist for varying periods in the course of work.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

  • Must have a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English.

  • Must possess the ability to interact well with others in a team setting ability or alone and be able to change jobs on short notice.

  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.

  • Highly motivated, flexible organized and must be detail oriented.

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to maintain ability to access government worksite.

  • Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards, and standard safety practices.

  • Must be able to perform duties under adverse weather conditions (extreme cold / heat, etc.). Outside work in winter, summer, rain, sleet, and snow and on uneven terrain – side hills and slopes.

  • Must be able to work alternate and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer's mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.

  • Must be able to perform on-call duties when necessary and report to work within the required timeframe from notification. 

  • Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.

  • Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.

  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform all the essential duties of the position satisfactorily.
