We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Desktop Support Technician to provide top-notch technical support and ensure the smooth operation of our organization's IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in systems like Active Directory.
Assist with the deployment of IT assets, including imaging, updating, and distributing devices.
Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement technical solutions and improvements.
Document and track all service requests, incidents, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
Educate end-users on best practices and provide guidance for IT-related tasks.
Participate in system upgrades, software updates, and deployment projects as required.
Maintain inventory and asset tracking for IT equipment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in desktop support or a similar IT support role.
Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common desktop tools.
Knowledge of network fundamentals, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and VPN technologies.
Familiarity with remote support tools and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office 365 administration.
Knowledge of ITIL practices and principles.
Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
