Honeywell Senior Engineering Technician in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania

Join a dynamic team responsible for designing and developing test procedures and standards for highly complex products. As a Senior Engineering Technician in the Technology Hardware Center of Excellence (COE) at Honeywell Process Solutions (HPS), you will play a critical role in driving technical excellence and innovation in hardware design and development. Your expertise in hardware engineering will be instrumental in developing cutting-edge solutions for customers in industries such as oil and gas, refining, energy, and life sciences. Reporting directly to the Technology Hardware COE Manager, you will be based in our Fort Washington, PA location. U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, and functional testing of Industrial Control Panel assemblies with interconnected modules.

  • Carry out operations in preparation, connection, soldering, fabrication, and verification of components, cables, subassemblies, and microelectronic assemblies (including printed circuit boards).

  • Support system test activities using laboratory electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, optical/voltage spectrum, network, and digital logic analyzers, and function generators.

  • Follow assembly drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering change documentation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and validate hardware requirements and specifications.

  • Support the Development team with conducting feasibility studies and risk assessments for new hardware designs.

  • Assist the Development team with purchasing materials for prototyping and general lab use.

Must Haves:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • 5+ years of experience in building/maintaining electro-mechanical systems.

  • Strong knowledge of hardware design principles and methodologies.

  • Experience with hardware testing and validation.

We Value:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.

  • Experience soldering, inspecting, and verifying circuit cards. Soldering Certification preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in the construction and/or operation of electromagnetic electronics, equipment, and apparatus.

  • Experience in the oil and gas, refining, energy, or life sciences industries.

  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
