Description
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Fresno, California. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will handle a variety of tasks from processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable to managing Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger operations.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Conduct regular Bank Reconciliations
• Maintain and manage the General Ledger
• Prepare and record Journal Entries
• Conduct the Month End Close process in a timely manner
• Efficiently operate QuickBooks for various accounting tasks
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Work with Yardi for property management accounting needs
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
• Demonstrated experience as a Staff Accountant, ideally within the Real Estate & Property industry
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations
• Knowledge of General Ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes
• Ability to prepare and record Journal Entries
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, preferably QuickBooks and Yardi
• Strong attention to detail oriented and good analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Certification such as CPA is a plus
