Job Description
We're seeking multiple entry-level candidates who will perform a variety of work, including demolition, assisting carpenters, unloading and staging materials, assisting in installing fire collars, ductwork, fittings, and general HVAC installation work. This is a hands-on position that will involve heavy lifting and other various production duties. Ideal candidates will have great attendance, a positive attitude, and some basic knowledge of construction.
Responsibilities
Perform general construction labor to include cleaning and preparing job sites, moving materials by hand, and cleaning up rubble and debris after work is complete.
Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 pounds of material.
Take apart or construct scaffolding, bracing, and other temporary structures for the construction site.
Assist craft workers such as carpenters or HVAC Service Technicians with their duties.
Operate hand and power tools of all types.
Assist in sheet metal fabrication and creating products in the fab shop when on-site new construction jobs are slow.
Essential Skills
Basic knowledge of construction.
Experience with hand and power tools.
Ability to read blueprints and understand basic instructions.
Mechanically inclined.
0-5 years of general construction or outdoor labor work.
Ability to lift 70 lbs. and perform strenuous outdoor work in exposed weather conditions on a day-to-day basis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must abide by all company field safety rules.
Must be able to listen to and work with supervisors on performing all tasks in the safest manner.
Basic math skills to read tape measures and calculate cuts, breaks, and general construction duties.

Work Environment
Work hours are Monday through Thursday, 7 AM to 5:30 PM, with the potential for overtime. The worksite is located in New Prague, and the project will be ongoing until October 2025. The schedule currently consists of 4 ten-hour shifts per week, with no work on Saturdays. Depending on the project, there could be four ten-hour shifts and one eight-hour shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Big Lake, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
