Job Summary

The Student Affairs Coordinator facilitates the coordination of student clinical placements and administrative processes within the facility. This role serves as the primary liaison between students, academic institutions, and hospital departments, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. The Student Affairs Coordinator manages student onboarding, schedules, and records while promoting a positive and supportive environment for students engaged in clinical learning experiences.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinates the onboarding process for students, including orientation scheduling, credentialing, and compliance with hospital policies.

  • Acts as a primary point of contact for students, academic partners, and hospital departments, addressing inquiries and facilitating communication.

  • Maintains accurate records of student placements, schedules, evaluations, and compliance documentation in alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards.

  • Collaborates with academic institutions and hospital departments to manage clinical placements and rotations, ensuring alignment with program objectives.

  • Tracks and monitors student progress, providing necessary updates to supervisors, academic institutions, and hospital leadership.

  • Supports the planning and execution of student-related events, activities, and educational programs within the hospital.

  • Prepares reports and documentation for audits, accreditation reviews, and departmental updates.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Education, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required

  • 0-2 years of experience in administrative support, student services, or clinical placement coordination required

  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of student services, clinical placement coordination, and healthcare operations in a hospital setting.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, records, and multiple priorities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, staff, and academic partners.

  • Familiarity with credentialing, compliance, and regulatory requirements for clinical placements.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hospital information systems or similar software.
