Now Hiring A Safety and Environmental Manager!
Starting salary - 90K-115K
Work site located in Galesburg Illinois
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety and Environmental Manager to join our Galesburg team. The ideal candidate would be responsible for developing and maintaining safety and environmental programs, policies, and procedures to manage all safety compliance and risks applicable to our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain safety and environmental programs, policies, and procedures to manage all safety compliance and risks applicable to the facility.
Provide strategic leadership and oversight to ensure ongoing compliance, including all training and record-keeping activities in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
Establish, implement, and sustain ISO 14001 & 45001, and HSE Management System to assess and control HSE risk.
Conduct audits and inspections to identify system-level weaknesses and recommend solutions for corrective actions.
Serve as the main point of contact for third-party management systems audits with responsibility for responding to audit findings.
Establish and maintain a contractor health, safety, and environmental program to manage risks associated with contractor activities on site.
Develop Emergency Response plans, ensuring drills are conducted and corrective actions are identified and implemented.
Create and manage budgets.
Drive efforts to reduce the environmental impact of manufacturing processes, including hazardous and solid waste minimization and reduced water and energy consumption.
Manage all requirements related to chemical management, including chemical approvals, GHS-compliant labeling, employee training, and proper disposition.
Qualifications:
CSP, CIH, CHMM certifications preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Management, Engineering, Business, or a closely related field strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of safety codes, OSHA 1910, EPA regulations, and other regulatory agencies.
Working knowledge of environmental codes, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
Experience with Lean Problem Solving (8D/A3 tools), Incident Investigation, and Root Cause Analysis.
Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
Proven experience in safety and environmental management.
Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
Excellent leadership and strategic planning skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $115000.00/hr.
