Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating a wide variety of duties and tasks to ensure smooth project site operations of construction equipment including software troubleshooting. Performs activities relating to equipment and supplies. Has daily contact with various clients, subcontractors and Company employees. This is a field role.

Key Responsibilities
- Learn to operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects. *Learn to diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices. Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges. Adjust and maintain industrial machinery, using control and regulating devices. *Learn to repair and replace damaged or worn parts, and fabricate needed parts or items from sheet metal. *Learn to safely dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools. *Learn to read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings. *Learn to fit bearings to adjust, repair, or overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. *Learn to use appropriate hand (i.e. screwdriver, drill) and power tools (i.e. air drill, impact wrench) to repair, replace or perform maintenance on equipment. *Supervisory duties include coordination of day-to-day activities, addressing performance equipment software issues *Supervises document control activities, including drawing control, project file management and use of electronic file storage system for project filing *Performs duties including entering purchase orders, matching invoices with materials receiving reports *Maintains construction equipment *Serves as project site's IT liaison for office equipment and connecting lines, which includes troubleshooting and working with home office IT staff on more complex issues *Assists Project Field Management with administering and communicating policies and procedures *Assists in project site mobilization and demobilization activities involving project team and equipment *Coordinates set up of office and equipment by working with IT Coordinator and equipment vendors *May enter cost code information for Procurement cards, approve purchases when necessary, and submit corresponding documentation to home office procurement *May be responsible for providing administrative support for startup operations, engineering, project controls and/or procurement activities *May purchase equipment and supplies
Management Responsibilities
Acts in capacity of a "lead person." Does not have management responsibility for the people to whom they provide work direction.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Skills:
Experience troubleshooting and using GPS including Trimble, Top Con, Stone X and RDO
Mechanic experience
Experience managing GPS equipment on construction projects
Experience stocking and managing GPS Parts or Consumables
Experience repairing units.
Knowledge of electronic file storage system
Supervisory skills
Oral and written communications skills
Multi-tasking ability (prioritize, organize, schedule work)
Desktop PC (Outlook, Access, Excel, Word)
Minimum Qualifications
At least 7 years of experience working as a Mechanic that is considered an A level Technician with a strong working knowledge of mechanics.
At least 2 years experience working as a manager or supervisor.
Must have working knowledge of industrial construction equipment, machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Unristristriced drivers license and clean MVR.
Must have all necessary tools.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Position will require the possession of or obtaining a Class A CDL (within 6 months of hire).

Travel may be required.
Typically, a mixture of office, warehouse, laydown yard, and construction project site environment.
Requires working in cramped work spaces and getting into awkward positions.
Requires working in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32F degrees) temperatures and exposure to inclement weather such as dust, wind, snow, rain, etc.
Requires working in extremely bright or low lighting conditions
Includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
Work around hazardous equipment.
Requires exposure to high places.
Physical Demands
Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Stand, Kneel, Bend, Stoop, move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas, see and hear naturally or with correction.
Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with requirements of the job duties.
Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls according to a set procedure.
Requires repetitive movement.
Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders and scaffolds.
Work up to a 12-hour shift, doing hard physical labor in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
