Graduate of an approved school of Registered Professional Nursing BSN- Preferred
Current NYS License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse
Responsibility Summary
II West Telemetry
The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high quality compassionate care to patients and families. The Registered Professional Nurse assesses patient need, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates the care delivery throughout the patient’s episode. The Registered Nurse on 2 West develops specialized skill in the area of Cardiac Care including telemetry monitoring. The Registered Nurse on 2 West also provides care to adult adolescent and geriatric populations with medical and/or surgical conditions. The 2 West RN is accountable for patient family education to assist in understanding self care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle changes to support health and healing. The 2 West Registered Nurse is expected to promote comfort and provide emotional support in a Healing Environment.
III North Surgical
The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high quality compassionate care to patients and families. The Registered Professional Nurse assesses patient need, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates the care delivery throughout the patient’s episode. The RN on 3 North develops specialized skills in the area of patient admitted for medical conditions. He/She provides care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions. The 3 North RN is accountable for patient family education to assist in understanding self-care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle changes to support health and healing. The 3 North Registered Nurse is expected to promote comfort and provide emotional support in a healing environment.
Salary $39.52-$49.44
