Express Employment Professionals Regulators Service Tech - Novice in Grand Junction, Colorado
We are actively recruiting for a Full Service Regulator Technician for a local industrial transformer company!
Schedule is Monday - Thursday 6am - 4:30pm.
$18.00-$20.00-- DOE
The Full Service Technician is responsible to assemble and disassemble voltage regulators. Compliance with all safety requirements, product quality standards and company policies are essential functions of this role.
--Read and follow work order instructions to ensure your rebuilding transformers to customer specifications. --Gather parts and tools that are needed for the work order and ensure they are in good working condition prior to usage. --Reconditioning and reassembly of regulators will include but is not limited to cleaning and inspecting components, replacing gaskets, changing the oil and basic repairs. --Perform quality checks and basic testing on units before they leave the workstation --Troubleshoots electrical and mechanical problems on voltage regulators and repair as needed. --Elevate complex issues such as larger voltages, unusual nameplates, and more complex testing issues. --Utilize shop equipment and tools safely and appropriately. Return equipment to proper location once usage is complete. --Usage of overhead crane and other material handling equipment may be needed to perform job tasks. --Maintain safe, clean, and orderly workstation. --Other assigned duties as needed.
Requirements:
--HS Diploma/GED preferred. --Mechanical and transformer experience preferred. --OSHA10 certification preferred. --Material handling equipment experience (forklift, crane, etc.) preferred. --Proven track record in safety excellence is required. --Adheres to all safety and environmental compliance regulations set by the organization. Notify management immediately of any safety concerns, hazardous conditions, or injuries. --Ability to read and interpret work orders. --Meet department and production goals set by supervisor. --Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations. --Possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, cooperative attitude, strong attention to detail and can work in a team environment. --Adheres to the company's employee handbook policies and embodies the organization's core values. --Ability to learn other department job functions and fill in as needed. --Complete company compliance and safety training when required. --Ability to work a flexible schedule and work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.
Physical requirements for this role include, but are not limited to the following: --Lift 50lbs floor to waist and waist to shoulder multiple times --Standing and walking for long durations --Bending, squatting, and kneeling multiple times for long durations --The ability to climb up and down a ladder multiple times --Balance and stand on a ladder with three points of contact for extended periods of time --Comfortable working in the heat and cold due to manufacturing facilities not being climate controlled.
