Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for conducting routine and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns. Your role includes diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, assisting in the installation of new machinery and equipment, and maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities. You will also be required to perform routine maintenance on electrical systems, troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce the likelihood of unexpected failures.

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime.

  • Assist in the installation and setup of new machinery and equipment, ensuring proper operation and safety compliance.

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance in conformance with auditing standards.

  • Navigate, maintain, and improve Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) processes.

  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve equipment-related issues and improve overall efficiency.

  • Conduct all work in accordance with lean manufacturing principles and processes alone or in a group setting.

  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems, including motors, control panels, and wiring.

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to reduce the risk of electrical failures and extend equipment lifespan.

  • Diagnose electrical issues and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.

  • Install new electrical systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.

Essential Skills

  • Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

  • Electrical troubleshooting including work with 480v systems.

  • Mechanical troubleshooting, including pneumatics and PLC systems.

  • Repair of 3 phase motors, AC/DC motors, Control systems, and VFDs.

  • Navigating and maintaining CMMS processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial maintenance.

  • Mechanical troubleshooting with hydraulics and pneumatics.

  • Repair of gearboxes, bearings, and chain-driven conveyors.

  • Experience with low voltage systems (24v).

  • PLC troubleshooting with/without a laptop.

Work Environment

You will be working in an automotive manufacturing environment where tools are provided. There is a requirement for an annual fit test and to be clean-shaven. The shift schedule is from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a rotating schedule of 3 days on, 4 days off, 4 days on, and 4 days off. A night shift differential of $2/hr is provided once officially moved to the schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Greenfield, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $87360.00/yr.
