Description Crain Communications, a leading B2B media company, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee key digital initiatives across our 21 brands that provide indispensable coverage and data for professionals globally. We're looking for a project manager who can guide and plan for the success of technology projects from inception through project completion. This role will reside within the product team and report to the Director of Product. They will work closely with stakeholders from marketing, analytics, research, subscription strategy, sales strategy, and technology to help bring new products and features to market, primarily within the digital landscape. Core responsibilities: Define project goals, scope, requirements and deliverables in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders Develop full-scale project plans and associated project artifacts Identify, manage, and escalate project risks, issues, and roadblocks Drive open decisions to resolution to progress projects forward Manage project timelines, dependencies, communications, and documentation throughout the lifecycle Track project progress against established goals and deliver status reportsto leadership Lead and motivate internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and manage expectationsacross multiple functional groups Distill complex project information into reportable format and present to project stakeholders on a regular cadence Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively convey ideas and listen to feedback Apply strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, manage schedules, and keep documentation organized Exhibit problem-solving abilities to quickly identify and resolve issues The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, technology, or a related field 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in a media, digital or technology environment "Can-do" work ethic, including problem-solving under tight deadlines and adapting quickly to evolving project needs to ensure successful outcomes. Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional, enterprise-wide projects Experience managing technology projects using agile or waterfall methodologies, with the ability to adapt methodologies to project needs and requirements Demonstrated "can do" work ethic coupled with effective time management and ability to overcome ambiguity, simplify and clarify objectives, and lead the team to successful outcomes Ability to manage stakeholder communication across multiple channels (Zoom, Slack, phone, email, in-person, etc.) Ability to manage stakeholder communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills across multiple channels (Zoom, Slack, phone, email, in-person, etc.) Proficiency with project management tools and software (e.g., Jira, Trello, Confluence, Smartsheet, etc.) Agile, Lean, Scrum Master, and/or PMP certification is a plus This role is remote eligible but also available to work out of our Detroit, Chicago, or New York headquarters. Pay Transparency Disclosure: The estimated salary range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000. The final salary offering will take into accounta wide range of factors, including experience, accomplishments and location.
