Jacobs Project Engineer in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico

Here's what you will be doing

  • Under close supervision by the Construction Managers and Construction Coordinators, the individual will perform routine aspects of engineering and construction management assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering and managerial principles.

  • Assisting Construction Managers and Construction Coordinators in all construction management and contract administration tasks, including but not limited to the completion and routine update of construction weekly, monthly, and annual reports, as well as any other project progress report solicited by clients.

  • Support Construction Managers and Construction Coordinators in reviewing contractor’s monthly certifications for payment, as well as provide support to Document Control staff for an appropriate document electronic filing of all project-related documentation as required by the client.

  • Assisting Construction Managers and Construction Coordinators in preparing project change orders and their presentations, project control backup documentation, such as Work Breakdown Structures and Earn Value tables, and all necessary supporting management documentation and reporting.

  • Support Construction Managers and Construction Coordinators in maintaining project-related RFI, Submittals, Minutes, Allowance, Design Nonconformance and Change Order Logs.

  • Assisting Construction Managers and Construction Coordinators with the execution of any administrative, managerial, or technical tasks associated with the roles and duties of construction and project management according to the program or project needs.

  • Adheres to Safety, Quality, Ethical Standards, and Lessons Learned programs in accordance with Division Policies, Standards, Guides, and Contractual commitments.

  • BS or MS graduate of an engineering discipline.

  • 2+ years of experience.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Engineer In Training (EIT) certificate.
