Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our pediatric center. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including both administrative and clinical duties. This role involves recording up-to-date patient information, performing patient vitals, and assisting with lab work. The ideal candidate should be flexible, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and passionate about working with children.

Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative tasks as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) including front and back office work.

  • Record and update patient information, medical history, and medication lists in the EMR system.

  • Perform patient vitals, room and inventory set-up.

  • Sterilize reusable instruments.

  • Run and verify lab work.

  • Assist with answering phones when needed.

  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with pediatric patients.

Work Environment

The work environment is a pediatric office with two locations on the same floor. The office sees approximately 40-50 patients a day. The role requires flexibility with working hours, varying from 30 hours some weeks to over 40 hours others, depending on patient flow. This is a great opportunity to work with children in various specialties such as behavioral, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, genetics, growth and nutrition, hematology/oncology, nephrology, neurology, and pulmonary. No weekend hours are required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
