Description
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Information Security Engineer to join our growing security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization's data and systems. This role will involve identifying, analyzing, and mitigating potential security risks, as well as implementing security controls and strategies to safeguard our technology infrastructure.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage security measures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure, applications, and data.
Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, investigate incidents, and provide root cause analysis.
Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis to identify potential threats.
Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and assist in system hardening.
Provide security training and awareness to employees, fostering a culture of security throughout the organization.
Respond to and resolve security incidents, ensuring timely communication and documentation.
Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in information security, with a solid understanding of security protocols, tools, and practices.
Experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, encryption methods, and security technologies.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, or HIPAA is a plus.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present security findings.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Knowledge of programming/scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
Experience with SIEM tools and security automation platforms.
