Senior Manager, Key Account Desk

Job Purpose
Responsible and accountable to effectively manage and control the OTC processes for DHL’s largest customers (AMKAD scope), so to guarantee a continuous cash flow, high customer satisfaction, elimination of errors at the source and drive process improvements. This is to be achieved by building, developing and managing a team of knowledgeable and engaged Experts, whilst being in line with internal and external policies and standards, regulations and compliance requirements. The head of this department drives the continuous improvement of the Department and changes the way we deal with DHL's top customers within the end-to-end OTC framework.
Key Tasks
Customer:
· To maintain and execute departmental strategies in line with set standards and policies
· Initiate and drive process improvement projects to streamline end to end collection process for the Americas Key account desk
· To review daily progression to cash targets; adjusts and yields collection and credit activities accordingly to meet cash collection objectives
· To act as a subject matter expert in the field of Order-to-Cash
· To manage service line agreements with served countries
· To manage bad debt provision and expenses
· To manage departmental cost
· To exercise good management judgment in the execution of job responsibilities
Relationship
· To integrate service orientation in all areas of work
· To act as a point of escalation to business partner and end-customers
· To manage dependencies across the entire OTC chain
· Able to understand the full scope of OTC Finance services and processes within DHL Express and able to provide guidance towards less experienced team members.
Process
· Ensure the team works and adheres to agreed procedures, ensure ongoing standardization of work practices, to protect efficiency gains achieved within the department
· Drive process improvements within the team, in order to contribute to increase efficiency and quality of the operational environment at a lower cost base.
· Define rules and process instructions to optimize and automate quality improvements
· Ensure all activities are documented and that the departmental SOPs are maintained
· Responsible for country and customer onboardings
Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelors degree and 8+ years experience in similar customer facing, managerial international roles
· Familiar with accounting principles
· Team player and be able to work and manage a multi-cultural and country environment
· Experience with and/or a good knowledge of Order to Cash processes
· Experience with working in a Customer Centric driven environment
· Good Influencing skills
· Analytical skills and ability to think strategically
· Excellent communication skills
· Good planning & organizational skills
· Ability to prioritize, to work under (deadline and/or target) pressure and attention to detail
· PC skills: good knowledge of MSOffice, pivot tables, SQL programming a plus
Language Requirement : Strong English (business) language skills, Spanish a plus
