The Facilities Maintenance Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Facilities Group Leader. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead and develop facilities team members to ensure the safe and efficient operating condition of departmentally responsible equipment. Reporting to the Facilities Engineering Operations Manager, the person in this role will support the Facilities department's objective to achieve departmental KPIs and targets.
Responsibilities
Lead by a 'Safety First' mindset, Toyota Way, and TPS Principles
Coach and develop Facilities Maintenance team members on a daily basis, providing clear direction, technical resources, training, and work plans
Lead activities to support Hoshin Objectives
Manage weekend projects and shutdown work
Manage resources and project timelines to ensure project timing and quality objectives are met
Develop the next generation of Facilities Maintenance Team Members
Essential Skills
Experience in Facilities Maintenance in the manufacturing industry
Knowledge of power distribution, industrial HVAC, chilled water systems, and compressed air systems
Knowledge of Building Automation Systems, such as Johnson Control Metasys
Understanding of Kaizen Processes in reducing waste, water, and energy
Ability to lead Preventive Maintenance activities
Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex system issues
Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and system diagrams
Knowledge of Floor Management Development System (FMDS)
Experience with preparing/developing technical presentations, developing others, and relationship building
Problem-solving experience
Availability to work rotating shifts
Willingness to work weekends (up to 50%)
Experience upgrading obsolete systems from concept to implementation
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, including project management and the ability to make milestone schedules/work plans
Ability to perform failure diagnosis, including identifying and reporting on the failure of components
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2 or 4-year technical focused college degree (e.g., electrical)
Application knowledge of Floor Management Development System (FMDS)
Deep understanding of Workplace Organization (5S)
Supervisory experience including conducting formal reviews and coaching to maximize performance
Experience training team members on changepoints or new systems
Experience making equipment improvement plans
Experience with cost management and cost reduction activities
Work Environment
Engine manufacturing plant that machines and assembles 4 and 6-cylinder engines for various models including the Rav4, Camry, Corolla, Tundra, Sequoia, and Tacoma. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
OT eligible 1.5 at 45hours - benefits, medical , dental 401 with match toyota retiement contribution, bonus eligible based on performance (could be 15/20 a year )
