About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer.

In this role, you will:

Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments

Contribute to large scale planning of strategies

Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures

Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals

Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

SRE engineer with strong observability and automation skills

Should Collaborate with Development teams and other stakeholders to identify potential risks

Cross Functional Collaboration with Platform & Dev teams

Incident Management and Automation

Knowledge in CI/CD pipeline, Harness IO, GITHUB, Jenkins, tomcat, shell scripting, Splunk, Python, Power Shell AppDynamics, ELK, ITIL, Ansible, Terraform, AIOPS/BIGPANDA, ELK, Grafana, SONAR for code coverage, Good understanding on Observability, SLO/SLI, Promethus, ThousandEyes

Strong analytical, technical, and debugging skills should be able to drive highly skilled engineers.

Good understanding on NFR (non-functional requirements)

Abilities to perform Unit testing

Fluency in English and at least one regional language.

Job Expectations:

SRE Engineer role for an Engineering team to bridge the gap between traditional software engineering/dev and operations to create highly scalable and fault tolerant systems.

With having more than 4+ years of experience, should be able to automate the process, required to have hands-on coding experience. Proficient in Linux/windows server configurations, scripting (shell/python), able to automate manual tasks with automation tools like ansible or terraform, should be able to assess the impact of the problem and restore service quickly by managing the risk

Role expectation to have good development knowledge on Observability & automation tools. Good communication skills and should be collaborative and able to work independently and with team as well. Should be able to drive the projects by collaborating with app support teams, assess the risk. Able to identify the manual tasks and automate it.
