TEKsystems Voice Technician in Indianapolis, Indiana

Description

The Telecom Red Phones project includes pulling the Customer Service Record (CSR), identifying Centrex and Copper Lines, validating/ testing existing Red Phones, documenting non existing red phone, submitting work orders, complete new installs or upgrades, and completing the disconnection process for old numbers/ circuits.

Review technical design for sites and ministries

• Liaise between Customer and Customer partner personnel

• Attend program meetings with both Customer and Customer partner teams

• Travel onsite to discovery, install, and test phones following the guidance of the runbook developed for this scope of work

• Knowledge of and practical experience with telecommunications systems and technologies

• Knowledge and working experience with low voltage wiring and connectivity.

Deliverables and Acceptance Process: Supplier will provide the following deliverables under this Customer Order:

• Complete runbook - Supplier will collect building data using a site data collection form and will upload the building data using a mutually agreed upon format by an agreed upon secure method determined within the planning phase. This report will consist of the following information:

  • Red phone test results

  • Red phone has dial tone and calling capabilities

  • Red phone tip and ring toned out and labeled. Red Phone Locations

• Complete end to end documentation for onsite discovery/ findings in determined upon documentation location

• Compare lines being billed to the lines identified in the site survey findings provided by Customer and/ or their designated vendor

• If applicable Supplier will perform the following tasks per Customer’s recommendation:

  • Verify all locations listed for Red Phones have appropriate cabling and label as applicable

  • Identify type of connecting blocks present to ensure cutovers are supported with appropriate tools as required

  • Test and prepare cables as a pre-cutover action. Cutovers will be performed by Customer or their designated vendor.

  • For unidentifiable lines determined by site surveys documentation, tagging, and locating will be performed and escalated to the appropriate parties determined by Customer

  • Update all cut sheets with existing line information and obtain new numbers to be assigned upon installation by Customer or their designated vendor

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr.
