Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Irvine, California
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Construction/Contractor industry, based in Irvine, California. In this role, you will handle a variety of tasks related to accounts payable and project accounting, using your skills in Sage 100 and other relevant tools.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process draws and lien releases for accounts payable
• Maintain and update customer credit records with high accuracy
• Handle customer inquiries and proactively resolve issues
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions
• Utilize Sage 100 software for accounts payable operations
• Collaborate with the Controller and other team members on accounting tasks
• Contribute to the overall efficiency of the accounts payable process
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions
• Support other accounting projects as needed. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is essential
• Proficiency in Sage 100 software is necessary
• Prior experience in Project Accounting is required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of general ledger systems and procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel
• Familiarity with construction/contractor industry is a plus
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Experience in processing invoices and maintaining accounts payable records
• Willingness to continue detail oriented development through education and training.
