LSA Associates, Inc. Transportation Engineer in Irvine, California
Use Geographic Information System (GIS) to create routine transportation engineering illustrations demonstrating analysis results.
Conduct routine research on various transportation engineering topics related to land use and transportation planning/traffic engineering using spatial and data analysis in ArcGIS.
Use various travel demand models to analyze traffic conditions and conduct vehicle miles traveled analysis.
Help prepare traffic impact analysis, traffic operations studies, parking studies, or other technical studies/documents.
Evaluate roadway/interchange geometric design per traffic engineering standards such as AASHTO, CA-MUTCD, and the Caltrans Highway Design Manual.
Prepare striping plans, truck turning templates, and other illustrations related to traffic circulation.
Job requires Masters in Civil Engineering and at least one year experience in the job field
