Summary/Objective
The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal functioning.
Essential Functions
Ensure Company-provided vehicle is continuously stocked with needed parts/tools for completing work.
Provides assistance as needed for repairs or replacement of building rotating mechanical equipment.
Perform minor repairs on building structures and furnishings such as ceilings, toles, wallboard, plastered walls, cabinets, bookcases, resilient floor tiles, carpeting, lighting systems, painted surfaces, internal and external doors and door hardware, ceramic tile walls and floors, wall mounted fixtures and dispensers, and other similar equipment.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct reports.
Work Environment
Outdoors exposed to changing and/or extreme weather conditions (for instance, rain, sun, snow, wind, humidity, etc.).
Physical Demands
Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily production/technical nature. Manual dexterity is sufficient to reach/handle items, works with fingers, and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily 8 hours each day, Monday through Friday on a day shift. This position often requires overtime.
Travel
This position does not have any travel requirements.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Minimum 5 years Preventative Maintenance experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
2 years of direct automotive repair experience.
Computer Operations
Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Use miscellaneous office equipment (e.g., calculators, typewriters, computers, FAX machines, copiers, etc.).
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Card).
Must be able to maintain a valid driver's license.
