Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Production Operations:
Supervise daily production activities to meet output targets, ensuring adherence to planning, quality and safety
Coordinate the setup and operation of production machinery, addressing issues to minimize downtime.
Monitor material usage and ensure efficient workflows to reduce waste and optimize resources.
2.Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and motivate production team members to achieve individual and team performance goals.
Conduct regular team briefings to communicate production targets, challenges, and updates.
Identify training needs and provide on-the-job coaching to enhance skill levels.
3.Quality Assurance:
Ensure all products meet quality specifications through regular inspections and adherence to quality standards.
Address production defects promptly, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
4.Safety and Compliance:
Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment, including compliance with DOSH and company regulations.
Conduct regular safety inspections and report any hazards or incidents to management.
Stakeholder management
Collaborate with the production planner to understand and execute the production schedule.
Communicate any delay, challenges, or resource needs that may impact the schedule.
Provide real-time updates on production progress and output, helping the production planner adjust plans based on operational realities.
Coordinate with inventory personnel to ensure the availability of required materials.
6.Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Collaborate with other departments to implement best practices and standardize work procedures.
7.Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of production data, including output, downtime, waste and incidents.
Generate and submit daily end of shift production reports to management.
PROFILE
Technical education (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics) or a related field.
3-5 year experience in a production environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Hands-on experience in managing shift operations, including workforce management and production processes ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced shift-based production environment without lozing the overview.
Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization in English and Malay, conduct team briefings and provide clear direction and being effective in conflict resolution and team development
Being flexible, pro-active, disciplined, a motivator, a listener and a driver and thinking in processes.
Knows how to cope with changing priorities in a production environment.
Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
