The Quality Assurance Laboratory Technician II - Histochemistry plays a key role in supporting essential benchwork activities within a high-throughput production laboratory at our Kalamazoo site. This position centers on executing advanced laboratory techniques, including stain performance assessments, blood smear analysis, tissue cutting and embedding, and micro growth evaluations, all critical for maintaining our commitment to quality and regulatory compliance. This role offers the opportunity to apply and expand your expertise in a fast-paced, dynamic setting where quality and precision drive every process!

Location: This is an onsite position based in our Kalamazoo, MI facility.

What you will be doing:

  • Perform lab analysis.

  • Microscopic staining performance analyzation.

  • Support Document Control system through proper documentation compliant with ISO 13485 and Epredia requirements.

  • Slide preparation.

  • Calibrate and maintain instrumentation.

  • Collaborate with staff to meet goals among shifting priorities.

Skills you will need:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biology or similar is highly preferred.

  • 5+ years of laboratory and data collection experience within a regulated environment.

  • Histology Certificate from ASCP is required

  • Technical writing (SOPs, Protocols)

  • Proficient in MS applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SAP.
