Responsibilities
Providence Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Med/Surg Unit. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, demonstrating strong clinical skills and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.Key Responsibilities:
Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs
Adjust specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpret and record measurements
Monitor patients’ vitals and report adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner
Collaborate on discharge planning with the healthcare team
Answer questions and educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and post-surgery care
Maintain and update patient files, medical charts, and health records
Adhere to best nursing practices, standards, and protocols
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Current and valid state license2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. IV certification upon hire (state specific)
