Responsibilities
Providence Medical Center is looking for a per diem, variable shift PBX/Telephone Operator (PRN) to join our growing Admitting team!
The PBX Operator duties include, but are not limited to:
answering the switchboard and pages overhead
greets and directs people to the appropriate departments
monitors the hospital alarms
must be aware of the policy and procedures of all hospital emergency codes
ability to communicate with population served
shift needed: variable 8 hour shift
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
previous PBX experience, preferred
previous experience in an office or receptionist
effective written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
ability to multi-task and prioritize needs to meet required timelines
analytical and problem-solving skills
customer service experience, preferred
high school graduate or GED equivalent, required
