Job Title: Quality Control Lab Technician

Job Description

As a Quality Control Lab Technician, you will be responsible for labeling chemicals correctly, calibrating equipment, pH testing, sampling blends, and testing tablets. You will release blends for packaging, gather samples from the warehouse, perform necessary tests, record information, and enter data into the ERP system. Additionally, you will release raw materials, inventory and count raw materials, and issue releases based on laboratory analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all steps of routine experimentation including sample preparation, equipment orientation, instrument control, data processing, and analysis.

  • Accurately maintain and update laboratory databases, ensuring data integrity and consistency.

  • Conduct product performance and field testing.

  • Approve, hold, and/or reject products based on laboratory analysis versus specifications.

  • Ensure compliance with current regulatory requirements, following GMP guidelines for data reporting and preparation of validation protocols, raw data generation, and final reports.

  • Reexamine borderline results, research technical literature, and communicate opportunities for process improvements.

  • Manage multiple projects to ensure completion deadlines are met.

  • Recommend testing parameters, complete experiments and project work as assigned.

  • Provide analytical and technical support for quality-related product investigations.

  • Complete data reviews for out-of-specification test results and issue SPC charts of historical results.

  • Optimize and recommend lab improvements to support 5S initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with laboratory research and chemical testing.

  • Understanding of manufacturing environments and quality control procedures.

  • Knowledge of chemistry and biology.

  • Familiarity with pH testing, UV-Vis spectroscopy, sample labeling, and physical testing.

  • Ability to use lab equipment such as analytical balances, pipettes, force gauges, pH meters, calipers, and near-infrared spectroscopy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field is preferred but not required.

  • 0-1 years of laboratory experience, with chemical manufacturing experience being a plus.

  • Experience working in a quality control lab and with ISO 9001 regulations is a plus.

  • Open to entry-level candidates or individuals with an administrative bg interested in starting a career in a lab.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The position involves working in a laboratory setting with standard lab equipment and procedures. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00
