Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Staff Accountant in the finance industry, based in KENTWOOD, Michigan. The role involves maintaining financial records, generating reports, and ensuring adherence to accounting regulations in a corporate setting.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and financial statements, are prepared and maintained.
• Collaborate with various departments to provide accurate and on-time financial reporting.
• Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
• Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Support both internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting and reconciliations.
• Execute and monitor intercompany transactions. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Corporate Staff Accountant.
• Proficient in conducting Bank Reconciliations.
• Demonstrable experience in handling General Ledger.
• Capable of preparing and recording Journal Entries.
• Experience in performing Month End Close procedures.
• Working knowledge of QAD and Concur software.
• Experience in managing Intercompany Transactions.
• Familiar with Fixed Asset Accounting practices.
• Experience in dealing with Debt accounting and related transactions.
