Koniag is seeking a Business System Analyst SME III to join our team to provide mission-critical analyst support on USAF Logistics (Depot Maintenance) systems in a Program Management Office (PMO) environment. The candidate will provide functional and/or technical analyses, IT lifecycle management guidance, and expertise to ensure systems remain sustainable and that application system changes are incorporated properly. Candidate will be a member of a strong team consisting of Government personnel and Contractor personnel of Subject Matter Experts (SME).
This position has full-time telework but can be instructed by Government to report onsite (Kettering, Ohio facility). Telework status could change in the future.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
Review various artifacts, documentation, and deliverables provided by the Development/Sustainment Contractor to ensure valid and accurate implementation of requirements
Support release activities and milestones/reviews
Work with program stakeholders to facilitate activity accomplishment and resolve program/functional issues and mitigate risks
Assist PMO in assuring system requirements are accurately identified, documented, tracked, and prioritized. Requirements may consist of functionality, system, architecture, or software design/development
Assist the PMO in assuring and managing tasks, milestones, coordination, and implementation of BES lifecycle and agile methodologies are implemented by the Development/Sustainment Contractor within scheduled milestones and suspense dates
Maintain, track, and coordinate problems/issues for Problem/Deficiency Reports, Requirements Identification Documents, User Advisory Notices, and Software Release Packages. Create, modify, and update the Information Systems Management Tool (ISMT) as needed for new and existing requirements
Coordinate and facilitate Interface Control Documents (ICD)
Provide systems analyst support to other USAF logistics (depot maintenance/supply) systems as assigned
Required Skills/Experience:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Successfully complete a T1 Public Trust background check or higher
Three (3) years of functional experience with DMLS or comparable IT programs.
Three (3) years of lifecycle management experience with DMLS or comparable IT programs
Working knowledge of logistics/maintenance information systems within the USAF or other comparable logistics/maintenance systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Knowledge of one or more USAF Depot Maintenance Lagacy Systems (DMLS) components such as Aircraft Maintenance Production/Compression Report Systems (AMREP), Depot Maintenance Workload Planning and Control System (DMWPCS), or Reparability Forecast Model (RFM); or comparable systems
Working knowledge of the Information System Management Tool (ISMT)
Familiarity with managing ICDs in the Corporate Data Repository System (CDRS)
Experience with AFLCMC Business and Enterprise System (BES) Directorate’s lifecycle management process
General knowledge of agile methodologies
Physical and/or Mental Qualifications:
Effectively communicate with customers, stakeholders, and specialists
Work independently to accomplish tasks and lead small teams if required
