V2X Aircraft Electrician Lead (1st Shift) in Khashm Al Aan Air Base, Saudi Arabia
Overview
Serves as an Aircraft Electrician Lead, conducting unit-level maintenance on aircraft electrical, navigational, and avionics components. Performs maintenance on aircraft electrical components according to specific directives outlined in the aircraft Operators Manual, Maintenance Test Flight Manual, aircraft Check List Manual, and customer or specific directives. Diagnoses and rectifies malfunctions in aircraft systems and components, including solid-state and transistorized devices, adhering to relevant technical manuals, directives, and safety procedures. Utilizes common measuring tools, precision measuring tools, and alignment fixtures for tasks. Conducts operational checks on aircraft electrical systems and tests, troubleshoots, and repairs aircraft electrical systems test sets and diagnostic equipment. Assists the Customer in requisitioning and maintaining shop and bench stock items for the repair of aircraft avionics systems and avionics instruments. Performs operator maintenance on common and special tools, Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (AGSE), and Power Ground Support Equipment (PGSE). Prepares detailed aircraft maintenance forms and records, conducts On the Job Training (OJT), collects training data, and ensures all related operations prioritize safety.
During the 1st Shift, efficiently conducts Aircraft Electrician Lead tasks, including removing and installing various components, performing inspections, and ensuring operational checks, all in strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
Responsibilities
Ensures that aircraft electrical maintenance functional activities and procedures among designated organizations are planned, coordinated, integrated, and synchronized to achieve established platform operational readiness (OR) rates IAW contractual requirements.
Responsible for the compliance with established maintenance systems, processes, procedures and reports that provide immediate situational awareness of platform OR rates.
Establishes daily aircraft electrical maintenance operational goals, objectives and priorities for implementation in-order to achieve stated OR rates.
Oversees the daily aircraft electrical maintenance management of individually assigned aircraft in support of the Production Control (PC) Manager, in conjunction with Aviation Logistics for related platform parts and spares.
Works within the maintenance quality control processes, procedures, and standards.
Directs inquires, investigations, and research analysis related to aviation electrical maintenance of the aircraft and supporting maintenance activities to the PC Manager.
Coordinates activities and requirements for maintenance operations support with the PC Manager.
Coordinates daily and weekly maintenance training activities.
In coordination with the PC and Flight Operations Managers, supports the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) processes and procedures.
Conducts OJT, schedules training events, reports and collects data using available training management systems.
Works within the maintenance quality control processes, procedures, and standards.
Ensures all maintenance operations and related maintenance support activities are conducted in a safe manner.
Supports, in coordination with the Maintenance Manager and Flight Operations Manager, the Downed Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) process and procedure.
Other duties as assigned and or directed by management.
Performs within the broad guidelines of duties and responsibilities with significant choice of methods.
Authority to select and implement goals and objectives within the execution of duties and responsibilities.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma required; Associates degree preferred.
· Ten (10) years’ experience as an aircraft electrician and military trainer preferred.
Experience:
· Five (5) years’ experience performing as an aircraft electrician on either a UH-60 or AH-64.
· US Military or civilian technical trainer experience.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications, and Ability Requirements:
· Graduate of a US Military aircraft electrician maintenance course or civilian equivalent training and experience.
· Demonstrated past performance and experience in unit level electrical repairs on the supported aircraft.
· Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation.
· Demonstrated knowledge and experience of rotary wing Aviation operations inclusive of maintenance, Aviation logistics, flight operations and training.
· Proficient in the use of computer-hosted interactive technical manuals, aircraft maintenance forms, and other aircraft related documentation.
· Army service school instructor or civilian equivalent teaching experience for UH-60, AH-64, MD500 Series Aircraft (Rotary Wing Aircraft equivalent) mechanics preferred.
· Possess a valid driver’s license.
· DD214 required for military experience.
· Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include medical, drug testing, background checks, etc.
· Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a military maintenance unit.
· Strong knowledge of military logistics procedures and regulations.
