Job Title: Elevator Installer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Elevator Installer to join our team in Woodinville, WA. As an Elevator Installer, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining elevators in new construction projects. This role requires a high level of expertise, precision, and attention to detail. This is a 2-month contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install elevator components, including doors, cables, motors, and control systems, in commercial and residential buildings.

  • Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation plans and ensure accurate placement of elevator systems.

  • Conduct safety checks and tests on installed elevators to ensure proper functionality and compliance with safety regulations.

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on elevators to address any malfunctions or breakdowns.

  • Communicate effectively with other construction workers and project managers to coordinate installation timelines and ensure smooth workflow.

  • Ensure all installations comply with building codes, manufacturer instructions, and safety regulations.

  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions from building owners or tenants and addressing any concerns.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education or apprenticeship training preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems, preferably in a related field.

  • Previous experience as an elevator installer is a plus.

  • Certification from the National Elevator Industry Educational Program (NEIEP) or equivalent is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of elevators, mechanical systems, and electrical components.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with schematic reading.

  • Proficiency in installation processes.

  • Background in construction work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $70.00/hr.
