Machine Operator 1
Summary
Sets up and operates a variety of computer-based automated equipment to manufacture and measure ESI parts. Equipment used may include machines such as Laser Machining Systems, Injection Molding Machines, and Coordinate Measuring Machines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall operation of manufacturing machinery including actions such as feeding materials for processing, adjusting settings, performing minor repairs, and pulling finished product from the line.
Works from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given to perform production duties.
Checks and inspects operation results against predetermined outcomes.
Normally receives detailed instructions on all work and under close supervision.
Other duties may be assigned.
Education and Experience
Typically requires a minimum of 0 - 1 year of related experience.
Special Skills and Abilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have excellent phone and computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Works with integrity and ethically and is able to inspire the trust of others.
Read, understand, and follow written and verbal work instructions
Navigate in MS Windows computer environment
Basic Math skills and comfortable with metric system
Laser and equipment safety; maintain and practice good safety habits.
Skilled in an ISO 9001 environment
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to stand; sit; climb or balance and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of radiation and electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
