Job Title: Clinic LPN

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a preference for those with experience in internal medicine. The role includes a variety of tasks to support patient care and ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Calling in prescription refills

  • Managing voicemails and returning phone calls

  • Handling prior authorizations

  • Escorting patients to examination rooms

  • Taking vital signs

  • Administering breathing treatments

  • Performing point of care testing

  • Conducting phlebotomy

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in phlebotomy

  • Experience with EKG

  • Skill in taking vitals

  • Familiarity with the EMR system Cerner

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in a medical assistant role is beneficial

  • Ability to manage a high volume of patients (15-20 per day)

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Work Environment

The position is based in an office setting within a supportive clinic structure. The Clinic Manager has been with the clinic for 28 years, and the providers are highly supportive of the staff, often assisting with tasks outside of their usual job descriptions. The clinic typically maintains stable staffing, with turnover generally related to professional growth or uncontrollable life events.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
